Bali Turtle Rehabilitation

The juvenile Hawksbill turtle through the monitoring of the turtle breeding team at TCEC has experienced rapid health developments. from the increased feeding pattern that is given regularly, it is good news for our team during the covid corona period where activities in the cage are still on going such as handling sick turtles and  baby turtles that will be prepared to be released again. In addition to the Hawksbill turtle being treated there, there are three types of turtles, green turtles and  Olive Radley sea turtles, which are still under the care of the TCEC medical team, regular feeding is very important to provide intake to increase the energy of the turtles that are still being cared for, there are some turtle feeds that are available. given in the form of fresh fish purchased from local fishermen and seaweed to feed green turtles which are regularly picked themselves from staff during the pandemic. Seaweed itself is searched in shallow waters that can be found on the coast of Serangan Island among seagrasses that grow on the seabed. During the search process, TCEC staff conducted a free dive with a water depth of half to one meter. In addition to searching for seaweed, they sometimes find small crabs or shells that are taken to feed the hawksbill and Olive Radley  turtles. Staff assisted by volunteers
